First of all, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year. I pray 2011 will be your best year yet!
As I write you now, I am sitting at work (at Denny's) waiting on the snow to begin. According to radar, at 9:45, the precipitation is passing over Lake Hartwell. Forecasters are saying some areas could get up to seven inches of snow. My rule of thumb is.... if the storm comes through Atlanta, we get it; if it is any more North, it hits the mountains and we don't get any.
I would like to give a shout out to Fox Carolina meteorologist, Andy Wood, for returning my text yesterday by calling to give me the latest forecast. How many people would do that? Kudos to Andy for being such a dedicated individual.
I worked Christmas Eve until 3'ish. And, yes, people needs their meds to get through the holidays. All I can say is "Wow!". I left work and enjoyed a candlelight service at Milestones Church. It is always a good sign when the church is packed out and are looking for more seats. Hub, as usual, did an awesome job. We lit our candles and sang "Silent Night". I got to hang out with the Clary's briefly before we left church.
I hope everyone has a terrific time and don't forget the real meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus, our Risen Savior. Without Him, we would be nothing. Happy Birthday, Jesus!
Until I blog again,
