I have been overwhelmed the last few weeks. School has started back and even though I am only taking six hours; it is kicking my butt. I really don't get how people work and go to school (some full-time). I am still working at T-mart where next month will hit lucky year number "8", attending AMRBC where I have joined Sunday School (a baptist term), sing in the choir, and taking classes as noted in my introduction.
School is definitely a balance. I really don't get (nor understand) my math class, but love (and understand) my Speech class where we all connect and have a good time. It has taken me this long to make it to Speech because I would freak out in public speaking. I was blessed to have such a good group and teacher this semester.I took my MAT test on Tuesday and guessed on the majority of it. I have got to pass it; this is my third go-round in there. I just need to pass and get out. If you need to take Speech; let me know. There is a great teacher at SCC that you will really enjoy.
Work has brought on a whole new program, Immunizing. Thank you, Sweet Baby Jesus, that I do not have to do. It does tie up alot of time in paperwork and prepping. We are also saying goodbye to our PDX system which I have used for sixteen years. There is a new system on the way. Good, Bad, Who knows? We will just have to wait and see.
Church is thriving. I really enjoy singing with the choir at Anderson Mill. There are so many discounts out there for Baptists. (I'm just kidding, but if there is; please let me know!) Anyway, the choir is fun. I am also learning the whole Sunday School thing. I have joined a class and it seems to be doing quite well. As of this month, I will have been a Southern Bapti-costal for one year. What do you get at the one year mark?
All jokes aside, AMRBC is a great place. There is truly something for everyone. We crank up at 9:15 and 11 on Sunday mornings and 6PM Body Building Class. We are learning "What we believe". I think this class will fascinate me! And don't forget about choir on Wednesday nights at 6! Check out http://www.amrbc.org/ for more information.
My friend, Debora, who had a bone marrow transplant in March finally got to come home last week. She still has to continue to follow-up with the physicians at Emory, but it was a hard six months. I am thankful that the worst is behind and we can look forward to Debora's continued recovery. I was tickled to death when I saw Debora in Target!
How can I forget about the crazy lady at the pool???? That was like a highlight for me. I went to the undisclosed pool a couple Sunday's ago and ran into a lady who forgot to take her Seroquel/Abilify combo. She was asking me for my iPod and wanted to know if she could put suntan lotion on me. I didn't know if you was unaware that I was not the poolboy. Just to make sure she was not in my imagination, I got out ye ole' phone and recorded her singing the Doobie Brothers, Blackwater. It's hilarious, if you want to hear it, let me know! I had to call for backup. Thank goodness for the Blackwelders that came to my rescue. If not, I would have been calling the po-po.
We came back through Maggy Valley which a quite quaint area. I know it has been at least 25 years since I have been up that way. Nothing can touch the beach though. The mountains are nice, but I have my heart on the low country.
I have also meeting a group at C Edward's Downtown on a schedule. If you are interested, let me know. We have fun down there. Had no idea Spartanburg had moved up so much. Next, I want to visit the Blue's Club. I have heard alot of good things about it.
Now that I have blogged, I may attempt to do some homework. So, as a recap today was brought to you by the letter "8" and the number "sarcasm".
Until I blog again!
